Norman Eshley is an actor and author and was born in 1945. He is probably best known as the snooty next door neighbour in George and Mildred with the wonderful Yootha Joyce and Brian Murphy. He has in fact done many things in the theatre, television and films. He has worked opposite Orson Welles, Jeanne Moreau, Mia Farrow, Eileen Atkins, Vanessa Redgrave and many, many more. His career was cut short after a very bad car crash in France in 1994. He has done few television programs since and has recorded with two heavy metal bands from Germany and Belgium.
His first novel was published in 2021 and it is called “The Dreamtime of the Artful Dodger”. It follows the life of The Dodger after “Oliver Twist”. It was written by Eshley and Elizabeth Revill and is set in Australia.
